Spotlight on Fall Events at Cookeville Depot & History Museums

Posted by Kate Spears on

Join us this week on the WCTE Get Ready To Learn radio show with host Cynthia Putman, WCTE & Putnam County Schools Ready To Learn project manager. Our special guest this week is Beth Thompson, Museums Manager for the Cookeville History Museum and the Cookeville Depot Museum.

On this week's show, Putman and Thompson discussed the art of storytelling and delved into some of the great oral histories of the Upper Cumberland that Beth used as inspiration for the recent Night at the Museum event.

Putman was able to share her experiences as an actor from the event, telling the story of Baxter Seminary.

Thompson said that more than 500 people attended the evening's free festivities.
