Season 6 of the wildly popular series Downton Abbey on MASTERPIECE will premiere on PBS stations on January 3, 2016.  In anticipation of the new season, WCTE will offer FREE preview screening events at three Upper Cumberland locations.  At each of these events, the first hour of Downton Abbey Season 6 on MASTERPIECE will be screened.  These events are FREE and open to the public, but tickets are required.

The first screening will take place on Saturday, December 12 at 12:30 p.m. at Crossville’s Palace Theatre.  The second screening will be held on Sunday, December 13 at 2:00 p.m. at McMinnville’s Park Theater.  Then on Sunday, December 20, the Cookeville Performing Arts Center will host a screening at 2:00 p.m.

At each of these events, attendees are encouraged to dress in Downton Abbey period attire.  Light refreshments will be served during “tea time,” taking place the hour before the screening time at each event (beginning at 11:30 a.m. in Crossville, 1 p.m. in McMinnville, and 1 p.m. in Cookeville).  Special Downton Abbey gifts are available to those who sign up to be members of WCTE Upper Cumberland PBS during online ticket reservation or at each screening event.  For more information and to reserve and print free tickets, visit wcte.org/downton.  For DVDs and more Downton Abbey items, visit shopPBS.org.
