An annual holiday tradition, WCTE Upper Cumberland PBS will record coverage of the 2015 Cookeville Christmas Parade.  The parade will be held the afternoon of Sunday, December 6; WCTE’s parade program will air later this month on the following dates: December 18 at 10 p.m., December 20 at 5:30 p.m., and December 24 at 7 p.m.  This coverage will be hosted by WCTE’s Lee Wray and Celeste Flatt Bennett.  During the parade on December 6, WCTE will be set up in front of their offices at 139 E. Broad St.

In celebration of both the holiday season and the upcoming premiere of Downton Abbey Season 6 on Masterpiece, WCTE is featuring a vintage car and Downton Abbey theme in the this year’s parade.  Mr. Rex Palmer will drive his fully-restored 1940 Ford Deluxe convertible in the parade with WCTE.  Mr. Palmer has owned this Ford, which was the first car he ever purchased, for 57 years.  “WCTE is excited to celebrate the new season of Downton Abbey during the wonderful tradition of the Christmas Parade,” says Jodi Pitts, WCTE Special Events Coordinator.

WCTE is found on Charter cable channel 8 and DISH and DirecTV channel 22.
