WCTE’s Avery Hutchins Asked to Serve as Part of PBS Development Advisory Committee
Avery Hutchins, WCTE Upper Cumberland PBS Director of Development and Marketing, has been asked to represent the Upper Cumberland on PBS Development Advisory Committee (DAC). The DAC is a group of public television professionals who help form the goals and strategies of PBS Development Services. This is both an honor and a great opportunity for WCTE.
"I'm grateful for the chance to be involved on a national level with PBS, and to hold a seat as a new member of the PBS Development Advisory Committee,” says Avery Hutchins. “The WCTE team has prepared me well, and I'm thrilled to give WCTE another opportunity to have a voice on a national level."
Providing counsel and guidance regarding priorities for training, research and other core support services, the DAC is comprised of a minimum of eleven members representing a cross section of development functions, a diversity of market size, licensee type and joint television and radio stations. At least one station manager, one programming professional and one marketing professional will serve. The DAC strives to have its members reflect the diversity of the communities it serves in order to provide development services that respond to the educational and informational needs of a diverse America.
