Craig LeFevre WCTE Master Control Op Manager & Broadcast Engineer

Craig LeFevre, WCTE Upper Cumberland PBS Master Control Operations Manager, recently became a Certified by the Society of Broadcast Engineers as a Broadcast Engineer. This is a high achievement that requires five years of experience and the completion of 40 hours of training over five days followed by an intensive test.

“I'm grateful to WCTE, our CEO, Becky Magura and Ralph Welch, our Director of Engineering for giving me this opportunity,” says Craig LeFevre. “On-the-job training is great, but in this case, it needed to be reinforced by some theory. This benefits WCTE in a couple of ways. Obviously, having two professional engineers is better than having just one. It was a win-win-win for me, the station and for our TV viewers in the Upper Cumberland.”
