CRANK: DARKNESS ON THE EDGE OF TOWN PDF Print E-mail

Cookeville independent producer Todd Jarrell's gripping documentary Crank: Darkness on the Edge of Town. Crank is a 1-hour documentary following the trajectory of methamphetamine through the Upper Cumberland and across Tennessee.

The film turns on the unique grass roots efforts of a handful of Upper Cumberland residents to control the sale of the psuedoephedrine cold medicines required to make the highly addictive drug, breaking the back of the home meth lab crisis.

Produced by Todd Jarrell and over two years in the making, the program is a partnership of the Independent Television Service, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and WCTE, Upper Cumberland Public Television. Distributed by American Public Television, the program will air across America for years to come and PBS has requested rights for education distribution. Our sponsors include the Memorial Foundation and Vanderbilt Medical Center to whom we owe sincere thanks.
