Upper Cumberland Area High Schools battle it out on WCTE's High School Academic Bowl. Teams this year include Cookeville HS, White County HS, York Institute, Clarkrange HS, Cumberland County HS, Upperman HS, Oneida HS, Scott County HS, and Gallatin HS.

The PBS Arts Fall Festival is a nine-part, multi-platform arts event that begins October 14 with PBS Arts From Minnesota: THE GUTHRIE THEATER PRESENTS H.M.S. PINAFORE. It features artists and performances from nine communities around the country. Eight of the nine programs will include locally produced short films by PBS member stations about the arts in their communities.
