"This community and region are enriched by the presence of Public Television. WCTE brings the world to the region in a very special way, and also provides really high quality local programming."

"It is interesting to watch how the station has developed over the years. It started out with just a small group of dedicated, underpaid, overworked people dealing with local issues. Now, it impacts the entire region and is seen throughout the world"

"I believe in the link between educational programming and student learning. I also see it as an untapped tool for teacher professional development."

"We welcome our CAB members and are proud to introduce them to you. They are Diana Baranowski, Nina Lunn, Kelly Swallows, Dr. Steve Copeland, Dr. Carl Owens and Jack Barton. In our last issue, we profiled the ladies. Here, we introduce the gentlemen…"

"Our Community Advisory Board (CAB) was formed to provide a vehicle for effective community input for WCTE. The CAB reviews the station’s programming and its service to the community. The board then advises WCTE President and CEO Becky Magura, who represents the station’s governing body, the Upper Cumberland Broadcast Council."
"On June 12th, the last night of the Great TV Auction, Romola Drost was kidnapped from her traditional spot behind the Art Board and escorted to the stage. Under the hot lights and in front of the TV cameras, she smiled as the WCTE staff and Auction volunteers sang Happy Birthday to her in honor of her 90th birthday."

"Thompson is one of WCTE’s all-star volunteers. She is comfortable and poised
in front of the cameras, and is a valued on-air personality during the station’s Pledge
Drives. In the past, she has helped out with Station’s of Imagination, WCTE’s event for
kids at the Cookeville Fall Funfest."
"Public broadcasting has been an important part of the life of this community, an important part of my life, and an important part of my children’s lives."
"WCTE provides a tremendous public service to our community that too many of us take for granted."
" PBS has a civility that you don’t find on the national networks."
