LIVE GREEN TENNESSEE
Part of a global grassroots movement with thousands of members in 150 countries, Slow Food is an idea, a way of living and a way of eating and in East Tennessee the group strives to support good, clean and fair food for all.
Working with Jenny Thurman, a landscape architect, and Dennis Gregg of the Obed Watershed Community Association, Crossville, TN's Centennial Park is landscaping existing storm drainage areas with native plants and rain gardens.
Chattanooga Main Street Market - A farmer-run market, which supports local farmers by providing a direct market for their products in an atmosphere of interaction. The Market also provides education on how healthy food is produced, prepared and grown.
