212 Market is the first certified green restaurant in Tennessee, with a focus on locally grown organic produce and hormone-free & free-range meats. The restaurant has practiced recycling and composting; scraps go to local farmers to feed their pigs and chickens; and leftover foods go to the Chattanooga Food Bank. The restaurant has solar panels on the roof and electric car chargers in the parking lot.
Greg Holt of Holt's Bee Farm is keeping the art of bee keeping alive. Raising bee's for the past thirty years the Holt's are passing on the there love of beekeeping to a new generation while providing fresh honey to the local community and help sustain the bee population.
