WCTE PBS Glow Parade 2023

The Glow Parade is a fun WCTE tradition which started in 2018, and this year's event is being sponsored by Twin Lakes. Join us for Community Lantern Workshops to decorate lanterns for the parade.

  • Aug. 19th - TTU College Town Kickoff in Dogwood Park, behind the Cookeville History Museum (3-8 p.m.)
  • Sept. 8th - @ Fall FunFest (5-7 p.m.)

*Free lanterns and craft supplies will be available at the workshops!

JOIN US AS WE LIGHT UP THE NIGHT!

Friday, September 8th @ 7:30 PM

You don't have to have a lantern, but you must be glowing to walk!

Participants will line up at the corner of Broad and Madison.  Leading the parade will be the Cookeville Police Department, on motorcycles.  The Tennessee Tech drum line will follow them, and from there, families and TTU students will march along holding and wearing glowing accessories and lanterns.  The route will circle the Courthouse, and pass in front of the Fall Fun Fest stage, dispersing to the north, on Washington and Freeze.
