Saturdays at 9:30 on News Talk 107.7 and 1400 The Hub* This week on our WCTE Get Ready To Learn radio show, host Cynthia Whittaker Putman will share a word of encouragement for parents and caregivers as we all adjust to this time of At-Home Learning.
Putman shares WCTE’s two new landing pages that support parents, educators, and caregivers: WCTE’s Connection Zone & WCTE ‘s At Home Learning
These pages were created to showcase the educational resources that WCTE PBS supplies that will help support at-home learning. Resources that align with each PBS KIDS program, TDOE Block, and elementary, middle, and high school programming is provided on the weekly education grid.
Putman also encourages parents to take advantage of sunny day and use these ideas outside.
If parents need new ideas for activities this weekend or beyond, PBS Parents article is full of ideas:
Improve Happiness with Gratitude
Putman encourages everyone to practice gratitude and teach that to children during this time by writing letters to grandparents, neighbors, or friends from school.
As always, visit wcte.org for more resources and thanks for checking out our radio show and blog! Feel free to share with any friends who might need this info.
