Putnam County Fair 2022 - The Truck and Tractor Pull 8/12/22
Cookeville, TN – WCTE PBS will be at the Putnam County Fair, the number 1 county fair in the state of Tennessee, to broadcast and stream three live competitions again this year. The three events include the Lone Star Rodeo, the Putnam County Horse Show, and the Truck and Tractor Pull.
The schedule is as follows:
Thursday, August 4 – Avery Hutchins and Randy Adams will be hosting the Lone Star Rodeo beginning at 7 p.m.
Thursday, August 11 – Avery Hutchins and Debbi Norris will be hosting the Putnam County Horse Show beginning at 7 p.m.
Friday, August 12 – Donna Matson and Randy Pryor will be hosting the Truck and Tractor Pull at 7 p.m.
For each of the three nights, Dawson Davidson and Carolyn Moore will be hosting Backstage Pass to provide access to contestants, spectators, and volunteers at this year’s Putnam County Fair.

51st Annual Smithville Fiddlers' Jamboree 7/2/22
The old-time Fiddlers' Jamboree is a DeKalb County tradition that draws musicians, craft artists, and spectators to the Smithville Square each summer around the Independence Day weekend. Over time, the festival became a broader tribute to Appalachian art and culture. Thousands of tourists visit the festival every year, along with television viewers across the country via DTC-TV, WCTE-TV and various PBS stations nationwide.
