Join WCTE for a Summer of Adventure Pool Party - July 18th at the Gilley Pool in McMinnville, TN

WCTE PBS invites families to attend the annual back-to-school bash on July 18th at the Gilley Pool in McMinnville. 

Event is sponsored by Ben Lomand.

“We wanted to make this year’s Gilley Pool party bigger and better than ever,” said Sarah Savage, Education and Engagement Coordinator for WCTE. “We’re excited about the variety of free, fun activities we have planned. Thanks Ben Lomand and the Gilley Pool for making this event possible!” 

This free family event is on July 18, from 10 am to 2 pm at the Gilley Pool (500 Garfield St. McMinnville, TN 37110). In the event of inclement weather, it will be held on July 20. 

  • When: July 18th from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
  • Where: The Gilley Pool (500 Garfield St, McMinnville, TN 37110)
  • Free admission for children 12 & under

 

WCTE is providing three different booths, with activities themed around favorite PBS KIDS shows and characters such as Alma’s Way, Splash and Bubbles, and Work it Out Wombats. 

Each booth will provide fun learning opportunities, with a focus on music, art, science, and more! These will be set up in the green space adjacent to the pool. 

Children can also choose a free book to take home at the end of the day, and free popsicles are also available.
