Upper Cumberland communities are coming together to celebrate graduating seniors this weekend and WCTE PBS is making it possible for those ceremonies to be broadcasted. “It’s important that WCTE contributes to the graduating seniors and their families and making it available over the television is just one way we can support our community.” says Brent Clark Director of Production for WCTE PBS. “Not all family and friends will have the opportunity to be at the commencement ceremonies but with WCTE’s broadcast they can watch from their homes and still be a part of the big day.”
WCTE will begin broadcasting the ceremonies on the following dates and times:
- Friday, June 12 at 6 PM Upperman High School
- Friday, June 12 at 7 PM Warren County High School
- Saturday June 13 at 10 AM Cookeville High School
- Saturday June 13 at 4 PM Monterey High School
- Sunday, June 14 at 2 PM Overton County High School
- Monday, June 15 at 7 PM White County High School
The broadcast will air on WCTE PBS’s World Channel and be streamed on WCTE’s Facebook page. The World channel can be received via an antenna on channel 22.2 or check local listings. Currently DirecTV and Dish do not air the World Channel.
