Benjamin Franklin Screening March 31st at 6 p.m. @ TTU Stonecipher Auditorium (& Streaming Online)

WCTE Invites our community to join us for a special preview screening of BENJAMIN FRANKLIN, a new two-part documentary directed by filmmaker Ken Burns, that will air on PBS April 4 and 5, 2022. The film will also stream on PBS.org and the PBS Video app.

The film explores the life and work of one of the most consequential figures in American history—a prolific writer and publisher, a groundbreaking scientist and inventor, a world-renowned diplomat and a signer of both the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution. Franklin, whose life has been celebrated as a quintessential American story, was anything but typical.

Ken Burns's four-hour documentary, "Benjamin Franklin," explores the revolutionary life of one of the 18th century's most consequential and compelling personalities, whose work and words unlocked the mystery of electricity and helped create the United States. "Write things worth reading," he said in "Poor Richard's Almanack," "or do things worth the writing." Benjamin Franklin did both. Premieres Monday, April 4 at 8/7c.
